Does this filtration system eliminate the water spotting on shower glass and calcium/scaling around faucets, shower heads, etc.

The filter will reduce the spotting by about 85%, not eliminate it.
Most of the spotting is not just calcium it is the dirt particles that cling to the calcium and other surfaces, removing the dirt reduces the spotting.

We recommend a product CLR to clean any spotting if needed twice a year.

The goal of the filter is to eliminate all types of sediment, taste, odor and clarity of the water. A softener can't accomplish that level of filtration to a 5 micron level.

For Size comparison, a human hair is about 75 microns across

The filter is still $495, call 631- 338..1048 for more info or email me

When you see the filters after 12-15 months of service it is readily apparent below.

What are your feelings about putting the filters on the output side of the water softener before the house feed to remove the sediment?

We like the water feel and taste from the water softener and we like that the softener reduces the amount of soap that we use.

If I had the two in use at the same time, I could bypass the water softener to see if using the filters alone gives me the same satisfaction that I have with the softener.

That's the way I usually do it, the two pictured above are done like that.
Our filter also removes any resins from the softener that way.

I believe you'll find using the water w/o the softener will be satisfactory.

I have over 300 installs here over the past 2.5 years, I offer softeners but no one has asked to add a softener to a triple installation.

I have also removed over 20 softeners.

But there are those that like them.
