Bingo. NOAA temperature data manipulation has been going on for many years. Here is a video from Tony Heller, who routinely exposes this process. He also delves deep into the how widespread it is and who is doing this. This video is from 5 years ago -- and it continues today ... enjoy ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xpx27-00NgE

There are also cases when data fabrication is not needed, especially when continuing to use temperature sensors which are improperly located ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJZbGzuAV1w

As Mark Twain once said, there are three kinds of untruths: "lies, damned lies, and statistics". Numbers can be manipulated so that they say anything you want them to say. A great example from some years back; Texas was routinely castigated for being the capital punishment center of the known universe. It was one of those "truths" that you just accepted without discussion--until it was pointed out that, on a per capita basis, the state with the highest execution rate was not Texas at all but DELAWARE.

Climate change "data" is no different. You juggle and twist the numbers enough, you can get them to "prove" anything you want.
This is so true. I can make a graph that shows climate change has a direct correlation to teachers salaries.

I'm sorry -- that is not science -- that is data manipulation -- for whatever purpose. Like they say ... if the data doesn't fit your theory -- change the data.
It's a fact NOAA fabricates data or they lose OUR taxpayer funding.

That is covered in detail at the Weather Club meetings. Sign up for monthly notifications of future talks and speakers ... The Villages Weather Club But back to your question, Richard Feynman, Nobel Prize Winner and Einstein Award Winner, correctly said ... "Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts." Anyone can claim to be an expert, but it's the "data" which reveals reality. Science is the process of showing how data fits theory. If the data don't fit the theory -- the theory is bad. The U.N IPCC temperature forecasts have failed for the last 35 years -- therefore their theory is wrong. The Schwarzschild Equation (internationally recognized science about greenhouse gas properties, which Einstein helped create) best explains current theory -- which says CO2 currently produces tiny warming -- and adding more CO2 produces even less and less warming as it is logarithmically decreasing in affect. CO2 warming is essentially saturated. Bottom line -- CO2 warming is not tangible. Plus, CO2 also has cooling properties -- which is part of the reason why earth has been cooling for the past 7 years. Some of this will be discussed at the next two Civil Discourse Meetings -- Sept 5 & 12 at 10 AM. In the meantime, here is just one of the ways CO2 helps cool the earth ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztX0Lso6lBE

This analysis from a highly respected engineer might be of interest.

Note: this man designs aircraft where a mistake can cost lives. Not a scientist where mistakes have little or no consequences.

Agree. Burt is correct. In fact, all scientists (and non-scientists) who study the "data" (versus the narrative) understand that the "man-made" climate scare is a scam. You don't have to be a scientist to see beyond the scare -- or to see who's behind the curtain. H.L. Mencken said ... "The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary."

No need for that -- there is no climate emergency.

So where are we here...1/2 say the planet is heating up because of our fossil fuel burning and 1/2 says it's not heating up and may be cooling. I mean, seriously, is it getting warmer or not? Do we not know this??

All you have to do is Google this ... "How much has man-made CO2 altered earth's temperature last year?" See you 10 AM Monday at the Civil Discourse Club at Colony Cottage -- or next Monday at 10 AM at The Savannah. For more in-depth discussions get on the monthly notification list ...
