Even if it comes near us, it is projected to no longer be hurricane strength. People from the coast evacuate to here. Irma went right over the Villages with winds of 74 mph when it reached here. Very little damage. Lots of rain, some shingles lost on some homes.

Oh, I'm not overly concerned, just wary. If it's out over water, we'll get a lot of rain. If it's over Leesburg, it'll degrade over land.
Regardless, it'll be stormy.

During Irma, there may have been wind gusts of 74 mph, but the sustained wind speed was reported to be less than 50 mph. Not hurricane strength in The Villages.
