Not all Meteorological degrees are properly used. For example, here is one of many examples of bad science on the Weather Channel's website.

Climate change has been going on for millions of years before man kind and will continue after we are gone. Also all components of mining raw materials and producing components and transporting the raw materials and the finished product are diesel powered. Even the glasses sitting on your nose allowing you to read this disappear without fossil fuel production. Just saying
