I live in the Marion County section of TV. My rain gauge came in at over 7” by Sunday morning, another 2.5” on Sunday into Monday. It was heavier in Marion County than Sumter. It impressed me so much that I took a photo of the gauge.

what makes the amount of rainfall important and what are you going to do with the information once you know how much rain we've had? |

We have over 6" of rain in our rain gauge in Sunset Pointe. It's an accumulation since Friday.

I measured 5 1/4" of rain in my gauge in Buttonwood since Friday. Most of that was Saturday's all day rain that measured 3 1/2"
And to Devam4616, to answer your question: We're weather freaks that like to see the differences in rainfall totals across The Villages since it's covers such a very large area. This info also will help me know which golf courses might be unplayable, or cart path only. |
