Since my surgery I can't taste or smell anything. The only thing I can taste are sweets and they have to be over the top sweet for me to taste them. Has anyone else had this happen?
Also I've noticed that I am shedding hair. My brush was almost full this morning after I brushed my hair. I have had several surgeries and have never had anything like this happen.
Please ask your doctor. Losing taste is sometimes a neurological symptom. Perhaps even call your anesthesiologist, but I am just guessing that losing hair would have more to do with chemo.

Hope you recover your taste and stop losing hair and feel much better soon. I am hoping and guessing you will. Major surgery is just that, a major event.

Kind wishes,
Gracie
