Yikes, that was scarey. Told my husband we had to get to the emergency vet right now. About halfway there she was fine. My husband decided to go back home and to wait and see if it ever happens again. I am assuming it was a seizure. Unless someone knows what else it could be. We never experienced anything like this before. We were just wondering if anyone else had gone through anything like this?
Our 8 year old lab has had seizures that on average occur about twice a year. This started about 4 years ago. We had him checked and the only thing the vets could find was that his thyroid numbers were off and he is on thyriod medicine. I would recommend your dog be checked. Even though a seizure may only last one to three minutes or so the dog goes though a lot during the episode and a cause for them should be diagnosed. Good luck. Hope this helps.
