Generally we get very few calls on our land-line! We just wanted it...because! We have CenturyLink for our provider. I will try the *60 and see if it works for us. Otherwise I may do a "chat" with CenturyLink to find out what they can tell us. This call originates in CA...it began at 10 this morning. Yesterday when it started, it came through about every 5 to 10 minues. They will say "hello, hello?" about 4 times just long enough for it to register on our machine. I called the non-emergency Sumter Sheriff's office to see if they could give "words of wisdom" and the only thing they said is these calls will go for a day or two then quit. So thankful for "caller ID"!!!
I did the *60...but we unfortunately don't have the "call blocking" feature so as someone said we may have to talk with our provider to find out what we can do.
