Default 9 Holes on Championship Courses - Good or Bad?
I'm just wondering generally about signing up for an available tee time for nine holes only on a championship course. Sometimes I want to play but simply don't have time (or the desire) to dedicate the five or six (or more ) hours out of my day REQUIRED TO PLAY 18 HOLES, INCLUDING TRAVEL TIME TO AND FROM, WARMUPS, ETC.



Is it a generally accepted practice? Is it frowned upon by the general championship playing community? Is there any official position by the powers that be?
