I think you misunderstood.
I just meant that, with prep time, travel time to and from the course, etc., it takes roughy 6 hours out of your day to play 18 holes on a championship course. Sometimes I just don't want to take that much time, so I was asking how generally acceptable it is to just play 9 holes instead.
