That's a great suggestion. I always tie Beau in by doubling up the 5 foot leash and wrapping it around one of the roof supports. You do have to make sure that you take corners slowly. Beau also climbs on my lap so I have to drive usually one-handed so I go around corners quite slow. There are a lot of golf cart drivers in a real hurry for some reason but they can pass if I am too slow when I have Beau on my lap. Beau is a 11 pound chihuahua/terrier mix.

I do also have to avoid some pooches he has a problem with for some unknown reason. There are some dogs that just annoy him for some strange reason. He is a rescue so we do not know the elements that brought about his often strange personality. Other dogs might have the same problems as there are a lot of rescues in the Villages with gaps in their known histories.
