On another thought I think the way several of the usual anti vegan jump all over the vegan life style has scared off a lot of people that would like to know more about.
I say this because of the PM's I always get about the topic.
Is that really the best way to debate.

Ice cream
news for those who live a dairy-free life: Ben & Jerry's is releasing a vegan ice cream next spring. According to the Telegraph, the company has been working on a new dairy-less ice cream and plans to use either coconut milk or almond milk as as base.
Co-founder Jerry Greenfield tells the paper, "In the US there are [dairy-free] alternatives from smaller companies but Ben & Jerry's will be first mainstream company that will do that and will also do it in a really delicious way." The company was apparently inspired to create a vegan ice cream after a petition asking for non-dairy options quickly gained 27,000 signatures.
So what other alternative Ben & Jerry's pints could be popping up in your freezer one day? In March, Greenfield and fellow co-founder Ben Cohen admitted that they would consider making a cannabis-infused ice cream. Cohen noted: "Makes sense to me. Combine your pleasures." Maybe one day the duo will create a vegan weed ice cream for the ultimate hippie treat.

Soy ice cream has been around for a long time.
If I recall correctly, Jimbo, Carl Esselstyn advocates that you stay away from all synthetic meats made from soy. Would the same hold true for soy based ice cream?
