On this day, July 6, 1957 Ivan Vaughn attended a performance by his friend's, The Quarrymen. Between the afternoon and evening performances, Ivan took his friend, Paul McCartney back stage and introduced him to his other friend, and leader of the Quarrymen, John Lennon.
Paul played and sang Eddie Cochran's Twenty Flight Rock for John after which, John asked him to join his band.
This was the beginning of John, Paul, George and Ringo or what we all came to know as The Beatles.
