Why should he? As tragic as this incident is, it really isn't in the same category as a cop shooting an unarmed suspect. Sadly, cops getting shot in the line of duty is part of the job, just as fire personnel dying in fires. Should any POTUS really be speaking out on incidents of this nature? First of all,Michael Brown was killed on Saturday, August 9. President Obama issued a long statement on Tuesday, August 12 so there was no wait for anything. Now, he was forced to do it early because of the situation, but please insure you have your facts straight on this stuff. What you said was not true.
My dissapointment on that subject specifically is his, the Presidents failure to apologize or even mention (to my knowledge) Darrin Wilson whose life has been altered severely by inaccurate and meanspirited attacks.
Second disappointment is his lack of comment on black crime in general and the lionizations of black criminals who challenge police.
