We have a gardenia, no column, so you could probably assume non load bearing. However, if you want to be sure, go to sumter county office building dept, and ask for a copy of your plans, they clearly show load bearing walls.
I would guess that you will also need to have the tile in that area replaced. I am guessing the column was installed then the tile.
The same probably goes for the ceiling, and with the blown in insulation, be prepared for LOTS of dust and dirt. Also, you will need to have the insulation replaced.
No idea on permits.
