How would SECO have the email address of the thousands of customers effected? I know they don't have mine. Usually when there is a power outage, you can call on the phone and listen to a recorded update. Plus, as already mentioned, without power an email sent to your computer would be useless unless you had a backup battery.
I believe SECO does a great job. My last bill was $87, that's about as cheap as you can get. Secondly, just north of 466A we've only had one power outage in 4-1/2 years.
