It may have come down due to competition.

My favorite dog-friendly hotel is Loewes across from Vanderbilt University in Nashville. It is pricey and charges for parking, but the rooms are beautiful. And they go all out for the dog, bringing snacks, bowls & a mat, and a room service menu for pets. Plus the Vanderbilt campus is right across the street and beautiful for a walk. Well lit after dark.

The Loewes in BNA is a fabulous hotel. Back when it was called the Vanderbilt Plaza the bar had the best selection of antique single malt scotches I I have ever seen or tasted.
