Pet-Friendly Hotel, I-75, Atlanta area, Recommendations???
We will be driving to our TV house soon. We recently have been making the drive over two-days. We usually stay somewhere around Atlanta or Chattanooga, depending on when we get started.
For this trip, we will have someone with us who is bringing a little dog. Can anyone suggest a nice pet-friendly hotel. I have never had to find a pet-friendly and I must admit to being a bit persnickety about hotels. I know that those we have used on previous trips to TV do not allow pets. Any recommendations? Thank you. |
we have used the Ecnolodge in Dalton Ga as a stopping point on our most recent trip from TV to Michigan. Dalton is approx an hour or so north of Atlanta, I believe it was exit 331 on I-75. Pet friendly and clean plus lots of resturant choices with a mile of the hotel.

La Quinta. One in Morrow (south of Atlanta) and one north in Marietta. Drury Inn in Morrow. During the week they both have extensive food layout and free wine & cocktails. Two pets free to a room.
There is also a La Quinta in Chatanooga on 24 north east of 75. Also check out Best Westerns. Most of them accept pets (fee) and have been renovated. |
Best Western Chatanooga 7641 Lee Highway. City Cafe restaurant on premises, which is nice because you don't have to get in your car and go out to eat. 10% discount for restaurants.
We've stayed here with our dog and liked it very much. |
I stay at the LaQuinta in Dalton, GA. Pets are free! It is a really nice hotel and town. They have a lot of restaurants to pick from. It is about a hour north of Atlanta.

Be careful with the pet friendly sites, like Fido. I've seen some hotels that claim to be pet friendly, and it's true they allow pets in some rooms for an extra charge. I've seen hotels on pet-friendly websites that charge $50 per pet for an overnight. |
For all cat lovers, LaQuinta welcomes fur balls, too. All pet owners should remember the places suggested just in case a storm is headed this way and you decide to leave the area.
|
The Hilton in downtown Atlanta is also dog friendly. Most Hilton brand hotels take pets.

Thank you to all for your help. The info you shared was exactly what I needed to know to figure out where to stay along the way this time.
