Thank you to everyone for all the replies to my question.

As things turned out, we stayed at the Drury Inn in Marietta. We liked it. It appears to be well managed. (I was wondering who owned Drury so I looked it up. Family owned. I read a short article on their history. Interesting.)

The food available on site is so nice because the last thing I want to do after a long day in the car is to get back in the car and go searching for a restaurant.

We will stay there again, even without a pet. Marietta is about 6 hours from TV. We used to drive to TV in one day but then I played my princess card and said I was tired of that hour after hour after hour blur of a drive down I-75. Marietta is about half way.
