Hi angiefox:
This expert believes if progeria is controlled then the anti-aging aspects are controlled. Another expert believed if telemeres were prevented from fraying cells would not unravel and anti-aging anti disease would result.
I certainly am probably the least of the great thinkers but it appears that this magnificent vessel we call a body that houses our thinking, feeling, doing processes is so complex that a "one size fits all" solutions feeds into mankind's desire for youth and immortality.
I understood early on that my youth would be short lived.
I accepted that the barrier to my immortality was removed when my parents died. Will I live longer/shorter than my parents???????????I am certainly giving living on the old college try.
I will leave you with this:
Tithonus by Alfred Lord Tennyson
The woods decay, the woods decay and fall,
The vapours weep their burthen to the ground,
Man comes and tills the fields and lies beneath,
And after many a summer dies the swan.
Me only cruel immortality
Consumes; I wither slowly in thine arms....
Having said all of that I do subscribe to the old saw that "hope springs eternal".
Personal Best Regards:
