Red and yellow kills a fellow, red and black venom lack...........The poison one is a coral snake...............no cobras in the U.S. If red and black touch each other it is a harmless king snake. The coral snake is related to the Cobra since they both have venom that attacks the nerves as opposed to muscles of vipers. The one in the photo is a coral snake, one of the worst. They though are not aggressive and have their fangs in the rear of the mouth and chew rather than strike with front fangs.
