Basically, like firing 15 shots into a person already laying wounded on the ground?
Basically, like taking a 45 minute "rough ride" in a steel police van for a 7 block trip - and the prisoner with feet shackled and handcuffed hands in back? Died of broken neck - wonder why?

Like I said before, we don't need any new laws that are redundant. Hate laws are discriminatory in nature. If you assault someone, does it matter if you were doing it because he was a Muslim or gay or black? You committed a crime of violence, so adding to it for a particular motive does not matter. Same with murder. What difference does it make, if the person is dead, he's dead. All you do by labeling it a hate crime is to brew more hate and resentment. Is there any harsher crime for murder if a person did it because he hated someone due to their color, religion or sexual deviation?
