Simple Definition of karma from Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
: the force created by a person's actions that is believed in Hinduism and Buddhism to determine what that person's next life will be like
: the force created by a person's actions that some people believe causes good or bad things to happen to that person
Since I assume you aren't talking about reincarnation, you are probably referring to the second definition. Suggests to me that one should not steal electricity if they want to avoid bad things happening to themselves. My neighbor can have some electricity, and I'm sure he will let me have some of his. Probably nice if we ask each other first, and then not do it every day.
