You also need to realize that the faster greens get the more the ball is going to be affected by imperfections. The slower the ball is rolling, the more it's going to be affected by breaks and bumps. It's also difficult to keep a ball online when you have to hit it s softly.

I do realize that, but I also know that I putt way better on hard, fast greens than I do slow, soft greens. To each their own.....
