Well a few months ago I spoke to Scooter @Sumter Landing and during the conversation I asked him why he radically changed his format to basically accommodate the line dance crowd ( my words) his reply...because they will complain to management. So I said to him so basically you are being forced or bullied into playing the music what best suits the line dancers...His reply..YES !
Scooter is a terrific guy and it is a shame that he had to change. He has literally thousand of all types of music that he can pretty much take care of any request...But..his hands are tied.
As for the Line Dance crowd I can see why they are in favor of simply because of what I have stated.
I have watched the Line Dance crowd from time to time with mild amusement...all of them yes all..look bored, 40% stare at their feet, the others stare off in the distance like Zombies, shuffling forward , side to side, and a twirl now and then...all without making eye contact. They pretty much take over the space that " Real Dancers " would like and feel slighted when a tune comes on that is not to their liking.
Which brings to mind while having a cold brew last week @Sumter Landing during intermission a song by Michael McDonald came on " Real Love " and the " Zombies Line Dancers " tried to line dance to the song...it was actually Hilarious watching them stumbling around..I finished my beer and left before I fell over laughing so hard.
I do believe and predict that management will keep Scooter, however long term I also think that Scooter will gradually revert back to his original style..why ? The Line Dancers " Zombies " their numbers dwindle and they will fade into the Florida Sunset because of the upcoming changes in entertainment @the Squares .

I have to laugh when you the term real dancers. That leaves out 80% on the dance floor reguardless what's beng played. I relate that term to real golfers.
I been there several times never seen line dancers take over the entire dance floor or dance every song. No, I don't line dance.
As far as sticking to the topic I think you hatered for line dances subconscious got you off topic.
