I have a friend who has Medicare and TFL and he is allowed to stay in TVH for now because he is grandfathered in. His wife, however, turns 65 after January 1,2017 and she will not be allowed to use TFL. She recently received a letter that contained this information. The irony is she was the career military person! Incidentally they will both be leaving TVH. If you are moving to the Villages now and are under 65 you can use TVH, but after 65 you will be kicked out. If you are over 65 now you will not be able to use your TFL at TVH. Since you are a new patient you would not be entitled to grandfather status. One wonders how long they will keep grandfathered TFL patients. Maybe as far as 2018. Who knows.
