Back to the original question: There was no TVH prior to 2012, so all the bally-hoo is a recent development. Prior to that, TV was just like any other community---you talked to friends and neighbors and chose a doctor. The tertiary care centers are in Orlando, Tampa, Gainesville and Jacksonville. If you have a concern over the quality of healthcare in TV, then you really are questioning the quality in all of Florida. Everything in life is a trade off, some places have better restaurants, some have better shopping. If extremely high quality healthcare with a "recognized" name is important to you, there should no problem buying in the inner city slum of Baltimore, right next to Johns Hopkins. I prefer it here; even at age 22 I declined the opportunity to go there for 4+ years, preferring the slum I knew in Brooklyn to the unknown slum. |
