I think you are on to something! Mom and I got in TV last week and everything was fine with the refrigerator. I am a huge water drinker and started putting the water for a second day on the top shelf next to the area of the ice cube maker. That's when the water started freezing. I didn't have a problem when the water was only on the bottom shelf. I hope it's that simple!
I had moved the temperature up 4 degrees (to 44 degrees) so if this solves the problem I will move the temperature back down to 40 degrees or lower! I like my water cold but not frozen!
