People will read into this settlement what they want to believe. I can't know why they settled, did the judge strongly recommended it, did the plaintiffs believed Trump election adversely affect their claims and would forestall any activity until he left office or even perhaps that they recognized they had a weak case and got out when the getting was good????

He settled because he did not expect to be President Elect.
He is the only defense and would be required to take the stand, and having a President Elect, UNDER OATH either lie or tell how he pulled a con job.
There are more cases to come on this con job, and wondering how this settlement might set a precedent.
Folks, I know you suddenly love this guy, but he was and is a con artist. Hope is that he recognizes that somehow he got elected and has a responsibili of epic proportions.
Many of the posts on here over the campaign, and I think Trumps thinking was to get to Nov 8.
