Trump worships Putin and quickly realized that his fake university, is simply chump change in what he can now do as POTUS...just as Putin has done.

Trump sees himself as an Oligarch that can use the influence of his office to increase his personal wealth substantially.

He didn't want to testify (where he would have to lie) and then take the chance those lies might shorten his term and therefore not give him as much time to "make deals" for the benefit of he and his family.

The saddest part of course, are those that don't have a problem with Trump being an Oligarch and will constantly make excuses for him...when he violates the very principles of this great country.
