Trump continues to educate/mentor his children. clearly his daughter Ivanka and his son Eric both have political ambitions. so it would feel natural for Trump to have his children sit in on his informal visit with Japan's prime minister.

I agree he might want to re-think this sort of thing from here on out.
He may want to end this tug of war with his enterprise and
do the necessary and legal separation that is required to remove even the appearance of a conflict of interest.
