My girlfriend and I went to the Holiday Inn because that was the only bar in town that had dancing and a live band. We knew it was going to be crowded because it was a Saturday night, but we wanted to see if anyone we knew was there so we could sit with them at their table. We spotted my brother sitting at a table with a girl I didn't recognize, so naturally we went over to find out who she was. We sat down at the table with them, but my brother said his buddy was on the dance floor with his wife and we would have to relinquish the chairs once they were done. But he said we should stick around because they were getting ready to leave and we could have their table. So the song ended and we got up out of the chairs to give them their seats back, and out of the corner of my eye I saw this guy come running over to us. He showed up at my side within a split second of my getting out of the chair! He said "You're not leaving yet, are you? You just got here!" And three weeks later we were engaged.
