In '05, before we put the house in the rental program, we bought a "package" from SL. They had the plans for the model, and even had little cutouts of furniture like colorforms to place in the rooms to see what fit. They had the list of required articles for the property management program , and let us know what we needed (# of counter stools, etc). The salesman at the time ( I think he manages now) told us of a service where he and his wife wife would shop for all the decorating stuff required to rent at TV. This included toaster, televisions, lamps, cutlery, salt shakers, pictures, plants, etc. It was the most painless experience I ever had in trying to furnish a house.
Oh, and they delivered the furniture and decorated the house while we weren't there, so our next trip down the house was completely decorated. They did a great job!
The prices were very fair for everything we purchased. What I've noticed in the store is quite a few items that are pretty affordable, and others that seem off the chart expensive. But I'd not shop for furniture without checking them out.
