Memories........

I nearly wore out my Glen Campbell albums.......

It's knowin' that your door is always open

That makes me tend to leave my sleepin' bag
Rolled up and stashed behind your couch

(Those are some seriously sexy lyrics.)

And then there was that "Wichita Lineman." To this day, I can't see a utility truck on a country road without thinking about that guy........

Of course, now that sleeping bag surely has been replaced with a sensibly supportive, though overpriced, Tempur-pedic mattress.

And I do hope the "Wichita Lineman" is now happily retired with a nice portfolio that includes some good, dividend-paying utility stock.

My old albums are long gone -- so this afternoon, while in the throes of nostalgia, I went to Amazon and ordered a Glen Campbell CD.......But.....I will not be hearing Glen through those huge Pioneer speakers that Mr. Boomer brought home from Okinawa -- and that we also used as end tables beside our couch. (sigh)
