I worked for Address Management in the USPS for many years before retiring. Unless the entire system has changed drastically in a few years, The answer is no, you cannot use your mailbox number instead of your street address. All letter mail is automated and is not looked at by a human until it gets to its final destination. The way that automation works is that it reads the mail and sorts it based on a national database of addresses. Your mailbox number is not listed in that database. Using only that number will result in your mail being returned to sender.
