I believe it would work better if we could have placed it just inside our gable at S or E end. However my front gable faces W, and too much trouble for me to get to my back, east, gable. I then purchased an RCA directional antenna from Walmart, rated at 70 miles, installed it in attic, pointed about 112 degrees (toward Orlando), and it works great.
I paid $80 at Amazon for the Lava HD8008, and I would let it go for $50. As I alluded, I think it would work either outside, or in a gable facing S or E. Message me if interested.

Will you tell me (us) more about the channels you receive with the Walmart antenna? Do you get the Major Networks? Can you receive ESPN or any other sports channels? Do you stream? Do you use Apple TV, Netflix, etc?
