Without really seeing what your situation looks like it's hard to say. I used an antenna for the first yr. I was here & I put my antenna in my attic because I was told that we were not allowed to have antenna's on the outside of our houses, but now I see by driving up & down the streets there's lot of antenna's on houses. I used an antenna the 1st yr. here because I never watched to much TV because I was to busy doing everything else. Now I have Spectrum & I started out with a bill of under $100. with TV & internet service, now it just went up for the 7th time to $160. Now I'm really considering on finding something cheaper, or back to my antenna. Sorry, I'm getting off the subject. What you want to do doesn't sound like it'll hurt a thing but don't ask a TV technician because I'm sure they'll tell you something else to get you to spend money for them to do it there way.
