Benj ~ My correction of the spelling of khutspe is a totally lighthearted comment. The spelling would be almost impossible to find if you didn't have access to a Yiddish dictionary.
Now on to the topic at hand -
I vigorously oppose name-calling of anyone, politicians or not. My mother used to teach us that it was a sign of ignorance if you could not express yourself without name calling.
You may not know this, but I used to post more frequently, however when I once commented that I found it offensive when people were outright disrespectful and nasty in their remarks about our President (and others), I was told that if I didn't like it, don't read it.
I am registered as an Independent and have not posted any comments supporting or opposing any candidate on this forum. I have posted informational links and just yesterday was criticized for that as well (an AARP survey, which I thought was harmless, and I was told to "wake up").
So I guess it comes with the territory - I'll choose to stay in the kitchen, but hope to help turn down the heat with a little levity when possible.
