You make an excellent point about how tragedies like this are a bit abstract...until they affect someone directly.
Trying to put myself in the shoes of a parent experiencing a nightmare like this in real time...it's hard to even imagine the overwhelming terror most parents would feel.
Thank goodness it was a good outcome for your housekeeper...as all too many aren't so lucky.
