I have replaced them all, with the exception of a french door refrigerator that is now 7+ years old. Not building them like they used to, unfortunately. (My son in north Alabama bought a new house that had Samsung. Had to replace them all. Same thing with my sister who also lives here. )
Agree regarding Samsung. We too bought a French Door Fridge about 7 years ago along with their new style washer and dryer, no problems at all. Bought their microwave last year, had it installed by Lowes, it broke in 4 months, had to pay them to take it down to do the repairs. That is total BS and will never buy another one of their products. As far as extended warranties, I bought one in 1981 on a used Corvette as I was not sure how hard it was used, that was the only time. I figure I saved so much money by not buying them for the last 36 years that I could replace just about everything in my home with that savings.
