Put up all the barriers you want. Might stop the cars but what about the guy that just walks up with a pressure cooker bomb in his backpack? For every security measure you put into place someone will just find an alternate method to counter it.
Be cognizant of your surroundings. If you're really concerned stay away from places that would make good targets. The statistical chance of being killed in a terrorist or any other attack are miniscule.

I very much agree. According to valid research, most Americans do worry about Islamic terrorists, but I doubt if many change their lives because of the worry. Or allow it to dampen their overall positive attitude. I feel confident that both our Federal and local governments are aware of any dangers if they exist. I think tightening our borders is a good thing.
