I did our 1900 sq ft designer, LR, DR, 2 BR, kitchen and some odds and ends, rugs, 2 new mattresses and box springs and two entertainment centers using craigslist. Cost for all furniture was $5600. This was all used but I think I got some really nice pieces. Now I did this at home in Virginia where on the weekends they add 100 new pieces an hour to craigslist. Cost me another $1000 to move it all there. Than sheets, towels, and others odds and ends were another $600 or so. I like the dining room set we bought better than the one I have in Virginia and that one was more than the entire house cost me here. Down side was the time it took to go look at several to find the right ones. Than get them home, store in garage until I had a full 17 foot U-Haul full to drive down. Took about 2 months from beginning to end. But it was worth while doing it this way.
