Default Shame on The USGA
After a great Open, I was very disappointed with the awards ceremony.

A friend of mine's son tied for low amateur. He's been a great story this year as he's a firefighter.

The USGA usually promote amateur golf in a big way but at the Open, the low ams are hardly given any notice at all. They mentioned them and gave them medals.

They pronounced Matt Parziale's name wrong by the way. It's Par-zi-ale, not Parzarelli. And then nothing. I was surprised that the Golf Channel didn't give them a bit more coverage.

I find this surprising for an organization that seems to value amateur golf over everything else.
