My sister has lived in another Florida city for far longer than us and she is always surprised at how much I know about TV. I attribute that to the wonderful, miscellaneous threads on TOTV. I find it not only informational but frequently entertaining. The sense of community may not be an antidote to isolationism, but I believe in some ways it helps to curb a little of the loneliness that some may feel.

I can only speak for my neighborhood but even someone who is housebound would be visited and cared for by the neighbors. Many of us have cooked and cut grass and helped however we could for neighbors who have needed help.
