All good things here....Perhaps 30 minutes is a bit optimistic, especially for an inexperienced DIY'er. This is assuming there are no rusted bolts, cracked flanges, etc, etc......like most things, sometimes projects are a breeze, and sometimes they go downhill fast.

I am surprised that Mike Scott will install a homeowner bought toilet. Many Plumbers will not, and will not guarantee the job. I did not think a Plumber would get in his truck for $85.00

Like all projects, if you have the skillset and know the possible ramifications, go for it. If DIY is not your cup of tea, then it is wise to hire out. We are ALL experts at some things and novices at other things.

A wise person knows his strong points and his limitations.

Good luck on your project! Also know that all toilets are not the same. Toto is a very highly rated brand.
