784caroline;

Are we getting different versions of the Daily Sun or are my eyes beginning to miss things? --- I hope neither is true.

I called Arden Jewelers in LSL and June found an old rolodex card (don't you miss those?) and referred me to a gentleman who lives in Ocala. I called and spoke with this very pleasant man who has been working on antique clocks for over 40 years as a hobby (he's 83 now). He no longer travels but invited me, and my clock, to visit his home which I did last Saturday. He is a retired executive of a major tire company as well as a real estate developer. His garage has a complete clock repair facility built in. He is VERY knowledgeable and absolutely charming to talk with.

Anyway, he pretty quickly determined that my treasured mantel clock probably just needs a good cleaning (it's been 5 years) so he is now working on it for me.

If anyone would like his name and phone number please drop me a PM. I'd rather not put this information in a general message since he only wants to work on 2 or 3 clocks at a time.

Thanks again everyone for your input.
