But unless your standing by the path you are way more than the 6' recommendation, probably more like 20' if you are on your Lanai. I doubt that those wizzing past are facing you and sneezing or coughing as they go by. So far, what I have read, the home made masks offer little protection unless there is a filter that blocks the micron size of the droplets that may carry the virus. It may help but is not a great protection. It is suggested as something because the masks that will protect you need to go to the medical staff and first responders....as they should. Try not to be too paranoid.
