IMO, many posters who advocate that everyone should wear a mask are missing the point. The mask protects the wearer, no one else. Therefore if you are out and about and wearing a mask and you encounter a non mask wearer and that individual coughs or sneezes within your level of comfort distance the mask you are wearing will better protect you the wearer from possible infection. So those who advocate wearing a mask should wear one but should stop thinking that everyone wearing a mask will reduce the chance of getting an infection of any type
