I think you only have to look at the actions of The Villages powers that be to realize it's still a very big threat. This past week was supposed to allow the start of an activity that I enjoyed participating in. there was to be new restrictions to allow for social distancing, etc. but they were cancelled. the fact that the Daily Sun had not one but two front page articles about the virus was very telling. The virus remains a very dangerous prospect for our community. And you can argue with the statistics all you want, but the numbers of Villagers testing positive is increasing. Just found out a woman on my street tested positive despite doing all the right things. I don't care if younger people are the ones getting it--they make up the staff serving in the restaurants.....so remain a source for infection. As long as people think wearing masks is optional, we are still at risk. The fact that younger people are getting it does not change the fact that I have been prevented from doing the activities I moved here for. If the virus could be controlled state wide then things could open up for everyone.
