Deaths will lag a surge by 2-6 weeks just by the way the disease progresses. Also, improved therapeutic treatments have improved survivability but the long term effects of severe infection, even in the younger patients, seem to be rather dire including potential cognitive impairment, decreased lung capacity and cardiovascular damage. Feel free to put your own life at risk with risky behavior but please stop putting everyone else at risk by denying the science.
